A Chic Winter Wedding at Black Diamond Lodge | Durango Wedding Photographer

Bethany and Jeremy’s wedding at The Black Diamond Lodge near Purgatory Resort was one of those days that just felt fun from start to finish. They planned a small, intimate wedding in the mountains outside Durango, Colorado, and the snow showing up almost all day made everything even better. Spirits were high, everyone leaned into the winter weather, and the whole day had a relaxed but extremely elevated feel to it.

The style was chic without trying too hard. Bethany’s bridesmaids wore gorgeous fur jackets with matching hats, the details were thoughtful, and the florals from April's Garden brought in the perfect Southwestern touch with cacti mixed into the arrangements. And honestly, the macarons alone deserve their own paragraph. They were incredible.

As a Durango wedding photographer, I love documenting these kinds of weddings most: intimate celebrations that feel personal, stylish, and true to the couple. The Black Diamond Lodge is such a beautiful venue for couples wanting a luxury mountain wedding near Purgatory Resort, especially during winter in Southwest Colorado. If you’re planning a wedding in Durango and looking for a photographer who captures both the big moments and all the in-between stuff that makes the day yours, this wedding is such a good example of what that can look like.
