Silverton, Colorado Mountain Elopement - Paul & Mikayla

Paul and Mikayla’s Colorado mountain elopement was the kind of day that reminds you why people choose the mountains to say their vows. They got ready at The Rochester in downtown Durango; laid-back, historic, and a great spot to settle in before heading into the high country.

Their ceremony took place at the top of Molas Pass, right outside Silverton. The fall colors were at their peak, aspens turning gold and orange, mountain peaks just starting to catch snow. It was quiet, simple, and incredibly beautiful.

As a Durango elopement photographer, this is the kind of day I love documenting. No big production, just two people, a few close friends, and a landscape that doesn’t ask for much more.
